So, if your lifestyle leaves you with very less time to look after your body then it is advisable that you go for a blood cholesterol checkup from time to time.
Some actions that can indicate whether you are leaving a lifestyle that can lead to buildup of blood cholesterol are consumption of fast foods, smoking, sedentary lifestyle, overweight and consumption of alcohol. Since high cholesterol leads to heart attacks and strokes so the symptoms for the two can also indicate that you have high cholesterol. The symptoms of the two diseases are as follows:
a) Pain in the chest
b) High blood pressure
c) Numbness experienced in the legs or other part of the body.
d) Sudden blurriness in vision.
e) Problems like vomiting, nausea, fainting
f) Formation of flat and yellow bumps in the regions below or above the eyes (this symptom can be of other health problem also. So it is better to get a checkup done).
As we have already found out that there are no specific symptoms that can indicate high blood cholesterol, so it is imperative that you go through regular medical check ups and check your health insurance coverage. Regular health check ups and a healthy lifestyle are the only ways by which you can shield yourself from the problem of high cholesterol. So cut out on oily and fat laced foods and try to exercise at least for 30 minutes in a day to keep your cholesterol under control. Try to include more green and fiber rich foods in your diet as his helps in decreasing the body fat and also maintain the metabolic rate of the body at a normal level.
